MFD-640 and WAAS/SBAS-FMS 4-inch and 5-inch display
units, include dynamic Map, Profile, 3-D Perspective
Views and the depiction of obstacles from an optional
database. Terrain data can also be presented on other
displays including those with ARINC 708 compatibility,
as well as Collins Pro Line® and Honeywell Primus®
EFIS. Altitude configuration options now include combinations
of ADC, GPS and temperature compensated

| NOTICE: The Obstacle Database is intended for situational awareness and reference use only.
It is not intended for actual aircraft navigation and does not include all obstacles in
the world. The Obstacle Data contained in the Obstacle Database is compiled by
Jeppesen Sanderson, Inc. and is based on information obtained from government
and other publicly available sources for use in Universal Avionics’ TAWS systems.
The TAWS systems with the Obstacle Database is not intended to provide
navigational guidance, except for warnings to avoid hazardous terrain and/or
obstacles, nor to relieve aircrews from following published navigation procedures,
routes, altitude restrictions, and/or instructions from appropriate air traffic control
agencies. |
| Depiction and alerting of man-made obstacles in the Class A and Class B TAWS models is available beginning in SCN 12.0. Display of obstacle data is an optional configuration in the TAWS software. Use of obstacle alerting requires the installation of an external annunciator in the flight deck. |

 |
| Color-coding is utilized to depict terrain relative to the aircraft. Red shows terrain above current altitude.
The yellow band is flight phase dependent depicting terrain down to 1,000 feet below while enroute,
500 feet in terminal areas and 250 feet on approach. |
