Universal Avionics introduced the world’s first Flight Management System to the market at the 1982 NBAA Annual Convention. Certification in June 2006 of the Synthetic Vision for both FAR Part 23 & Part 25 aircraft launches the pilot into a new era of safety and situational awareness. This certification paves the way to update your existing flight deck with EFI-890R flat panel displays and the Synthetic Vision System, Vision-1. The first of its kind certified, the Egocentric (pilot’s view) maintains standard PFD symbology overlaid on a 3-D computer generated rendering of the terrain ahead of the aircraft, displayed in real time and oriented to aircraft attitude as well as vertical and lateral position.
