Tucson, Arizona – October 11, 2006 – Universal Avionics announced inking of a second order of ten shipsets of triple EFI-890R displays for retrofit into the Pilatus PC-12s by Kansas City Aviation Center, (KCAC). The EFI-890R displays will be fully integrated with the existing avionics suite, offering these aircraft the advantage of advanced technology and display features such as, Synthetic Vision, Aeronautical Charts, Up-Linked Weather, TAWS, Video and a host of other applications.
The architecture of the new system adds three LCD displays in the panel in a dual Primary Flight Display (PFD)/Single Navigation Display (ND) format, replacing the existing instrumentation. Kansas City Aviation Center in Olathe, Kansas holds the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installation.
