Tucson, AZ – Universal Avionic Systems Corporation, a leading manufacturer of aircraft avionics, announced that they have promoted Charles H. Edmondson to Senior Corporate Vice President and has been appointed to the Board of Directors. As Universal Avionics moves into 2005, the company is undertaking a number of key initiatives designed to increase productivity levels, quicken the pace of growth and generate increased market awareness.
Mr. Edmondson previously held the position of Executive Vice President and started Universal Avionics along with Mr. Hubert L. Naimer in 1980. They introduced the worlds first FMS, (Flight Management System), in 1982.
“Mr. Edmondson will transition to a position within the company to provide corporate strategic direction, support to current management, new business development and act in other duties supportive of the corporation’s business operations,” said Mr. Joachim (Ted) L. Naimer, President and CEO.
