Tucson, AZ – Universal Avionics Systems Corporation (UASC) has announced an Upgrade Incentive Program for operators to trade in their current navigation systems towards the company’s newly certified Super FMS models. These new systems – the UNS-1E, UNS-1Esp, UNS-1F and UNS-1L -- incorporate a faster, more powerful processor along with more RAM and larger memory capacity. They represent Universal Avionics’ next generation FMS platform for growth into the Communication, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) flight environment of the future.

Trade-in allowances will be offered for older UNS FMS systems, any competitor’s FMS, and any GPS system (including panel mounted GPSes). Allowances range from $4,000 to $6,500 off of the List Price. The Upgrade Incentive Program is available through authorized Universal Avionics dealers and is valid only for orders received and shipped between August 15th and December 31st, 2001. Allowances cannot be combined with any other special pricing.

For existing UNS-1C, UNS-1Csp, UNS-1D and UNS-1K customers, Universal Avionics has developed upgrade kits to incorporate the added power, faster speed, larger memory capacity and advanced operating software of the Super FMS systems into these systems as well.
