FMS Operational
The 3-day FMS Operational Course is designed for new operators
of Universal Avionics FMS and existing operators seeking a better
understanding of their FMS. This course applies to operators of
FMS SCN 100X.
Part One of this course covers Enroute and Terminal Operations,
while Part Two covers Approach Operations. The last three hours
of the course covers real world scenarios and application. This is
your opportunity to apply what you have learned in the course.

Course Fee
This course is complimentary for up to two pilots per aircraft
(private or corporate) to attend the same course with every new
Universal Avionics FMS installation and major hardware upgrade.
It must be scheduled within the first year of the new installation or
major hardware upgrade.
Additional attendees or multiple 3-day sessions are subject to
course tuition of $900 USD per person.

End User FMS Maintenance
This 1-day FMS Maintenance course is designed for aircraft
maintenance personnel performing system maintenance and
minimal installations and configurations. The course covers
basic FMS theory, operation, installation options, configuration
check out and troubleshooting procedures and fault isolation of
Universal Avionics FMS.
Attendees should have a basic knowledge of modern avionics
systems troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of aircraft display
and flight guidance systems a plus.
Course Fee
Course fee per 1-day session is $300 USD per person.

EFI-890R Advanced Flight Display Operational
For the EFI-890R Advanced Flight Display course (on-site only),
access to the aircraft is required. The course curriculum is
dependent upon the components installed, but is typically a
1-day course.
Course Fee
For new installations, the EFI-890R Advanced Flight Operational
course is complimentary. Otherwise, the course fee is $300 USD
per person, per day, plus travel expenses.

TAWS Operational
This 1-day course is designed for pilots operating Universal
Avionics Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS). The
course covers theory of operation and actual system operation.
Knowledge of the Universal Avionics FMS is a plus.

The course fee is $300 USD per person, per day.

Custom FMS Operational
Courses may be tailored to meet the needs of the trainees in any
combination of the listed courses (following list is not inclusive).
These courses are customized based on your needs to present
topics such as, but not limited to:
- Abbreviated training course
- Software differences
- Building pilot SIDs, STARs and approaches
- Multi-Missions Management System (MMMS) including
search patterns and drifting target calculations
- Universal Flight Planning (UFP) Program
- Company route management
- ARINC 424 procedural legs
Course Fee
Fees (in addition to a course fee of up to $500 USD per person, per day)
and duration of a customized training course will be determined
by the instructor at time of scheduling.

FMS Integration & Installation
This 2-day technical training course is geared toward Avionics Technicians, Installation Designers, and Engineers. Avionics Sales Representatives and Sales Support personnel may also benefit from portions of the training. This course is scheduled quarterly at our Tucson and Wichita Training Centers.
Course Fee
This course is complimentary for Universal Avionics Authorized Dealers when taken at our Tucson or Wichita Training Centers.
