Nav database subscription service is available directly from Universal Avionics Systems Corporation. Database subscriptions are available in worldwide and regional coverage areas to best match the requirements of your flight operations. Database contents include elements such as SIDs, STARs, airways and more. The navigation data updates for your subscription area are distributed on a 28-day cycle. Each update completely refreshes the entire database, including those waypoints used within your stored routes and pilot-defined procedures. Order forms are available for download as PDF documents.

Universal Avionics has a letter of acceptance (LOA) as an approved Type 2 data supplier under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular (AC) 20-153. This LOA is for Flight Management Systems with Software Control Number (SCN) 601.x/701.x and later. The status of Universal Avionics’ LOA and the status of LOAs for all previous data chain participants is updated when a change occurs.

Universal Avionics documents problems reported during navdata processing and how they were resolved, and problems found with the data after delivery in the navigation data processing notes. These notes are updated every navdata processing cycle, or when a change occurs.

For additional information, please contact the Navigation Database Administrator at our Tucson, Arizona facility.
