Contracts Manager

Summary


The Contracts Manager will review, revise and negotiate contracts and advise senior management of implications of contract requirements and proposed revisions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

Review and revise contracts, license agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and other documents and agreements for review, approval, and use throughout the Company.

Negotiate contracts and agreements with manufacturers, OEM’s, distributors.

Advise Senior Management and other personnel on contracts requirements and mitigate risk to the company through negotiations.

Negotiate and resolve contract disputes.

Manage Company contracts with customers, manufacturers, OEM’s, distributors etc. and maintain a contracts tracking system and procedures to ensure contract compliance.

Prepare contract summaries and advise departments of contract responsibilities.

Oversee contract obligations to ensure commitments have been met.

Need to be able to travel to other states and internationally for contract negotiations, as necessary.  Currently travel requirements are minimal.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Contracts experience (8+ years) in a corporate setting or someone who has their JD and 1-4 years of contracts work who is looking to settle down on the corporate side. Juris Doctorate preferred.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret avionics related reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers, regulatory agencies, or professionals in the industry’s community. 

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent knowledge of MSN Office Professional software.

No certifications required.
