The Research and Development facility of Universal Avionics in Redmond, Washington, is looking for an entry level Flight Deck Avionics Systems Engineer with familiarity of cockpit avionics and operational experience to develop flight management systems (FMS) products.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of aviation and embedded avionics product development.  Experience with definition and documentation of systems/software requirements, test procedures, formal verification and test reports are a plus.  Pilot experience is a plus.

Practical or academic knowledge of Navigation and Flight Management Systems is highly preferred as well as understanding of DO-178, DO-160 and DO-254.

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree or related experience is also required. 

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required.
